The Story behind " Runaway - Special Edition "
Originally released in 2001, Runaway was the first full album completed by Trance Blackman. It was the also the first completely self-produced effort by the prolific Canadian talent.
The album boasts 13 original songs, written between 1994 and 2001. The music collection can be best described as melodic pop/rock with elements of dance, retro and European influences. There's music to delight almost anyone's ear, anywhere in the world.
"I grew up listening to so many different styles of music, it's tough to just stick to one! But I believe that the diversity of style will enrich the experience just that little bit more when you listen to the whole album," notes TB.
Runaway is primarily a selection of romantic love songs. Named after the title song, it is a celebration of the emotion and also the way of life.
"The songs from Runaway were written during a period of time when I was growing through some rather emotional experiences; as I was learning about myself, and about being in relationships, both with my personal counterparts, and the universe we live in. This music is the result of those experiences."
Runaway will take you on a journey of the mind, and of the heart.
"Love is something that comes - or should come - naturally to everyone. These songs are a way for me to share that with others, or to help others understand and appreciate some life's simplicity."
Runaway builds on the themes of passion, life lessons, acceptance and personal strength. You've found your way to some wonderful, flowing music with strong melody, harmony and a meaningful message.
"When you ask your heart to feel for you, are you expecting something new?" from the song Relevance.

This is an excellent album. Good songs, good technical performance. I haven't found a track I don't like. How can it have no previous reviews with som many people downloading?

Very smooth. The song Runaway reminds me of being in a far off place, on a beautiful sandy beach - somewhere tropical - sitting close to my lover and ... making waves. Ooooh! Well done TB.
